MEET THE DESIGNER Mychael Knight Since his successful run on season 3 of the hit Bravo show "Project Runway", Mychael Knight has been diligently claiming his place in the fashion industry. In addition to being sought after from celebrities such as Patti LaBelle, Jennifer Hudson, Keri Hilson, and Kim Porter, his designs have been displayed in a variety of print publications including Allure, Atlanta PEACH, KING, Upscale, Ebony, Black Enterprise and The New York Times.  His detailed design aesthetic has also been beseeched from such corporations as Starbucks, Louis Glick, GlaxoSmithKline, TJMaxx, Nike, and Coca-Cola.  While simitainously working on his label which bears his namesake, he introduced MAJK, his signature unisex fragrance, Monsieur, a men's furnishings label, and Kitty's Litter, a berlesque performance group.  His fashion savvy has also reached beyond the runway.  In 2006 and 2007, he was a fashion commentator for the BET Hip Hop Awards and the BET Awards as well as 3 year staple juror for SCAD Style.  Even with a full plate of projects, Mychael Knight continuously travels the country; lecturing at universities, motivating and inspiring design students, lending his voice and designs to charities, and being a commanding fashion presence for industry events and organizations.         Did you know Mychael... - was born in Neuenberg, Germany - claims Gianni Versace, Donna Karen, & Elie Saab as his fashion design idols - is allergic to fire ants - has attended a total of 9 schools in his lifetime - was a track athlete competing in the 55M/110M Hurdles, 100M/200M Relay, 4 x 100M/200M Relay, High Jump, & Long Jump in high school - is an accomplished choreographer & dancer - was the 1st design student ever at his alma mater Ga.
