There is an epidemic in our state. Families are suffering from hunger. The homeless population is rising and we want to make a difference. On 1st Friday of November, ViBE Events is leading the charge against hunger with the theme "Food for Thought." Our goal is to raise over 500 non perishable items on November 4th.
Go without food today. Or limit yourself to just one meal. Or choose between food and your medications, food and your heating bill, food and rent, food and new shoes for your child.
For that one day, you'll live the life so many of your neighbors live every day. Right here in Arkansas.
The reality is that the number of hungry people in Arkansas is far higher than most other states. No part of our state is immune. And we can't change things for the better without your help.
The faces of hunger are all around us. It affects the young, the old, and every part of our state.
•18.8% of Arkansans live below the poverty line and can't afford enough food to eat. That means that 1 in 6 of your neighbors struggles with making ends meet and providing enough food for their family. - ACS Survey
